Rocket Launching with my boys!

5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

Look at my Belle along for the blast off

I cannot believe how BIG he is getting

All the tools necessary for a good time!
Jay and Turtle went to the hobby store today to build model rockets. Once they got home Turtle helped build his but when it came time for Daddy's he wasn't interested...
Somehow I got wrangled into going a mile into the desert to assist with the detonation! Turtle, Belle, Jay and I all had a really great time! We're hoping tomorrow the wind will die down a bit and we can go again...maybe a better location! ; )
Thanks Jay for doing things like this with Turtle...someday he'll remember when and tell his kids about this! You really are an amazing husband and father!
xoxo

Another Day In The Beller Family

I was looking at another blog today and was inspired to share more about me...Today has been a rough day. Work was the usual, not too bad considering. However, my home life sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. My mother in law is going through a divorce after being married for 31 years. I can't imagine how hard it is...on the same hand, I can't imagine not moving forward. I love her to bits but sometimes I can't relate to someone who has no drive to move her life in a positive direction.
My Uncle's Dad (who is basically a Grandpa to me) is having a major heart surgery tomorrow...I'm really worried about him and his wife. I know this is hard on everyone in the family...especially my Uncle.
I just got a call from my mother in law that a friend of the family killed themself last night...I have to ask myself, is it ever that bad?
Jay and I have personally known MANY people that have committed suicide...it's so hard for everyone around!
Sorry to be such a bummer...tis my life these days! :(

Mud Run 05.23.2009

Okay, so my friend Mike told me about this "Mud Run" in a few days...needless to say, I signed up with my crazy friend Holli and WE DID it! It was so much fun! It was between 4 and 5 miles with multiple obstacles (hay bales, balance beams, mountain climb, wall scale) and the grand finale was a mud pit! It was a blast! Our finish time was somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 hour 10 minutes...not too bad! :) After, the kids were able to do a mini version and they were called "Mud Puppies"...Turtle and I did it and he LOVED it! There is another one in October that Jay and I are going to do together...can't wait!

Mother's Day...The BEST

I'm the happiest Mommy ever!

I awoke to my kind of breakfast in bed...Dunkin' Donuts...YUM-O

Turtle and Daddy had beautiful cards for me along with some gift cards that I can't wait to spend! ;)

We spent the morning at the park and then had some relaxation at the Schnip's pool! The best gift of all was a day with my boys! Turtle also learned how to swim without his life vest! YEAH!

Turtle,

Words can never express how much I love you...THANK YOU for making me a mommy! I wish you nothing but God's greatest blessings in life! I love you!

XOXO

Mommy!

The Beller Family Vacation-North Carolina

Wow! I'm pooped! Just got home from an 11 day vacation that was absolutely amazing! We went to North Carolina to visit my parents. Many days of just relaxing and spending quality time with my family and mom and dad!
Easter was great! We picked up my sister Paige in Virginia and she spent four days with us...it was a blast! Turtle just loves her. Almost all of my extended family made the drive to spend Easter day with us and it couldn't have been more fun...except that I sat on a hammock that was rotted and fell through it, leaving a knarly bruise on my behind! LOL

Jay is such a great guy! When we pulled up to my mom and dad's house, he said "let's get your mom and dad a new mailbox" [there's was about 40 years old and looked it], so we went to Lowe's and my mom picked out the new box. Jay installed it while I was digging my Nana's garden for her. A few days later, Jay and I went to pick out some plants and flowers to plant around the mailbox. We ended up planting it at 10:30 at night...so much fun until I touched a big, slimy worm! Ewwwwww

One of my favorite parts of the trip was watching baby birds hatch...something I'm not sure you'd ever see in Vegas. When we got to my parents house, my mom pointed out that there was a Robin's nest in the bush by the back door. Inside the nest were three tiny aqua blue eggs (we didn't get a picture...darn it, but we did save some of the shells). The day before we left, we saw that the eggs had hatched and there were three of the cutest things I've ever seen in the nest! We would sit and watch the daddy bird go hunt for worms and then sit on the fence post and squawk for the mommy to move so that he could feed them...it was a really neat thing! I talked to my mom this morning and she told me that the birds are now gone...I guess we were a little too hands on with her babies, so the mommy moved them! :(
Can't wait to go back...maybe this summer!
XOXO Channelle

Anyhow, I hope you had an amazing Easter...we sure did!

ahhhhh...almost time to relax

(Simply Heaven On Earth)

(I found a bench to sit and listen to the ocean and say a prayer for Grandpa)

(My mom's Grandparent's took her to the Sea Lion Caves in OR when she was 17 and now I've been there with my mom. I'm hoping some day to take my mom and Turtle...make it a family tradition) :)

Okay, now that we're settled from me having to leave unexpectedly, it's actually been a great weekend! Turtle and I went to the mall and did a little vacation shopping, got the car washed and his hair cut...poor guy was just about to drop dead when I dropped him off at The Schnipp's for a little shot of adrenaline (aka, Sissy and Bella).

PS. Yesterday was Belle's 1st Birthday and she was spoiled rotten (like she isn't always??) :)

I'm getting ready for our long trip to see my parents...I cannot wait! Many days in North Carolina should be just what the doctor ordered. Jay and I have been working too many hours and we are looking forward to nice quiet family time.

The Easter Bunny is going to be paying a visit to Turtle at his Oma and Opa's house...hope it goes over well! :) I probably won't write much between now and our return 4/18...it's end of month for me and I have to try to squeeze in as many appointments as humanly possible on top of hair and nail appointments...ahhhhh, life is rough! ; )

Hope you have a "Hoppy Easter"! All our love, The Beller Family Four!
