The Beller Family Vacation-North Carolina

Wow! I'm pooped! Just got home from an 11 day vacation that was absolutely amazing! We went to North Carolina to visit my parents. Many days of just relaxing and spending quality time with my family and mom and dad!
Easter was great! We picked up my sister Paige in Virginia and she spent four days with us...it was a blast! Turtle just loves her. Almost all of my extended family made the drive to spend Easter day with us and it couldn't have been more fun...except that I sat on a hammock that was rotted and fell through it, leaving a knarly bruise on my behind! LOL

Jay is such a great guy! When we pulled up to my mom and dad's house, he said "let's get your mom and dad a new mailbox" [there's was about 40 years old and looked it], so we went to Lowe's and my mom picked out the new box. Jay installed it while I was digging my Nana's garden for her. A few days later, Jay and I went to pick out some plants and flowers to plant around the mailbox. We ended up planting it at 10:30 at night...so much fun until I touched a big, slimy worm! Ewwwwww

One of my favorite parts of the trip was watching baby birds hatch...something I'm not sure you'd ever see in Vegas. When we got to my parents house, my mom pointed out that there was a Robin's nest in the bush by the back door. Inside the nest were three tiny aqua blue eggs (we didn't get a picture...darn it, but we did save some of the shells). The day before we left, we saw that the eggs had hatched and there were three of the cutest things I've ever seen in the nest! We would sit and watch the daddy bird go hunt for worms and then sit on the fence post and squawk for the mommy to move so that he could feed them...it was a really neat thing! I talked to my mom this morning and she told me that the birds are now gone...I guess we were a little too hands on with her babies, so the mommy moved them! :(
Can't wait to go back...maybe this summer!
XOXO Channelle

Anyhow, I hope you had an amazing Easter...we sure did!

ahhhhh...almost time to relax

(Simply Heaven On Earth)

(I found a bench to sit and listen to the ocean and say a prayer for Grandpa)

(My mom's Grandparent's took her to the Sea Lion Caves in OR when she was 17 and now I've been there with my mom. I'm hoping some day to take my mom and Turtle...make it a family tradition) :)

Okay, now that we're settled from me having to leave unexpectedly, it's actually been a great weekend! Turtle and I went to the mall and did a little vacation shopping, got the car washed and his hair cut...poor guy was just about to drop dead when I dropped him off at The Schnipp's for a little shot of adrenaline (aka, Sissy and Bella).

PS. Yesterday was Belle's 1st Birthday and she was spoiled rotten (like she isn't always??) :)

I'm getting ready for our long trip to see my parents...I cannot wait! Many days in North Carolina should be just what the doctor ordered. Jay and I have been working too many hours and we are looking forward to nice quiet family time.

The Easter Bunny is going to be paying a visit to Turtle at his Oma and Opa's house...hope it goes over well! :) I probably won't write much between now and our return 4/18...it's end of month for me and I have to try to squeeze in as many appointments as humanly possible on top of hair and nail appointments...ahhhhh, life is rough! ; )

Hope you have a "Hoppy Easter"! All our love, The Beller Family Four!

RIP William Edward Cloud Jr. 03/19/2009

[Putting some chapstick on his lips, wetting his whistle]

[Grandpa holding my hand and promising to watch over me]

[Mom giving Grandpa a kiss goodbye...]

My Grandpa passed away this week. I'll always be sorry that we didn't have more time together but eternally grateful that I was able to be with him and tell him how much I loved him during his last days. He promised me on Wednesday that he would watch over me, Jay, and Turtle in heaven and I know he is now.

I love you Grandpa!

This Past Weekend

Okay, so this past week I decided that I was going to try to have a successful garden...I didn't realize how much work it would be just to start! Turtle and I went to Lowes on Friday after school and bought the bricks, the dirt and all the plants...doesn't sound like much, right? Well, let me tell you that I almost killed myself carrying all the bricks and the dirt that must have weighed 1,000 pounds! :) Anyhow, Turtle got his gloves on like Mommy and then when I asked if he wanted to help, he told me "Mommy, I think I'll just watch"!! The garden is now complete and I actually enjoyed doing it so much that I thought to change out some of my ferns for flowers...I always love having flowers outside and in, especially during Easter!

Mom,

I took some pics of the formal living room now that it's "complete" (if there ever was such a thing in my house). Let me know what you think! Can't wait to see you, only 29 days left!

XOXO

Turtle Pie Is Sick

Well, Turtle has been coughing and generally sick since Friday...Daddy took him to the doctor who told us he has a cough and a cold (REALLY???). The Dr. said he was going to prescribe some cough syrup that would help him, and us, sleep at night...Jay left without the script!!! Now we have to wait until tomorrow night!!

Jay had an excellent day at work, wrote a new contract, had one accepted and removed financing contingency on another! Whoo Hoo! I had a great day too, only one MAJOR glitch...IPHONES suck! Mine broke on Friday night and I couldn't get an appointment to have it fixed until 4:30...anyway, tomorrow is bound to be better now that I can make and receive calls!
