The Beller Family Vacation-North Carolina

Wow! I'm pooped! Just got home from an 11 day vacation that was absolutely amazing! We went to North Carolina to visit my parents. Many days of just relaxing and spending quality time with my family and mom and dad!
Easter was great! We picked up my sister Paige in Virginia and she spent four days with us...it was a blast! Turtle just loves her. Almost all of my extended family made the drive to spend Easter day with us and it couldn't have been more fun...except that I sat on a hammock that was rotted and fell through it, leaving a knarly bruise on my behind! LOL

Jay is such a great guy! When we pulled up to my mom and dad's house, he said "let's get your mom and dad a new mailbox" [there's was about 40 years old and looked it], so we went to Lowe's and my mom picked out the new box. Jay installed it while I was digging my Nana's garden for her. A few days later, Jay and I went to pick out some plants and flowers to plant around the mailbox. We ended up planting it at 10:30 at night...so much fun until I touched a big, slimy worm! Ewwwwww

One of my favorite parts of the trip was watching baby birds hatch...something I'm not sure you'd ever see in Vegas. When we got to my parents house, my mom pointed out that there was a Robin's nest in the bush by the back door. Inside the nest were three tiny aqua blue eggs (we didn't get a picture...darn it, but we did save some of the shells). The day before we left, we saw that the eggs had hatched and there were three of the cutest things I've ever seen in the nest! We would sit and watch the daddy bird go hunt for worms and then sit on the fence post and squawk for the mommy to move so that he could feed them...it was a really neat thing! I talked to my mom this morning and she told me that the birds are now gone...I guess we were a little too hands on with her babies, so the mommy moved them! :(
Can't wait to go back...maybe this summer!

Anyhow, I hope you had an amazing Easter...we sure did!
